About Legally BAS
Legally BAS was established by Debra Anderson in 2006.
Legally BAS was established because Debra was frustrated with tax agents not understanding or listening to their small business clients. As any small business person knows most tax agents and business owners do not speak the same language nor do accountants understand that small businesses want more from their accountant than simply an annual tax return – and that is where we come in. As we have spent all our business lives in commercial environments (small owner-operator businesses through to multi-nationals) we understand exactly what you need and want and if needed we can also work with your tax agent because we speak their language and can ensure the best possible outcome for you.
Our Goal
Our goal is provide all our customers with a superior consulting, tax, accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
We are not your 'traditional' accountants, nor would we want to be. We are a small business specialising in small business who love small business. We are honest, trustworthy and pride ourselves on being easy to work with.
Legally BAS in 2011
Today Legally BAS has 5 staff and provides ongoing MYOB accounting & bookkeeping support and tax agent services to a variety of businesses across a wide range of industries across Australia as well as assisting many businesses to help themselves by setting up a user-friendly, meaningful MYOB that they can manage on their own.
We are proud to be one of the few MYOB Consulting companies that can manage your accounts from start to finish – from Bookkeeping, Payroll, BAS, all things MYOB, End of Financial Year AND Income Tax Returns.
About Debra Anderson
Debra has an Associate Diploma in Accounting, a Masters of Business Administration and is a registered tax agent, registered public accountant holding Fellow status with The Institute of Public Accountants, is a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and a member of The Australian Institute of Management.
Debra specialises in MYOB and is active in the MYOB community by serving as a member of the MYOB Partner Advisory Group, Chairperson of the MYOB Sydney Certified Consultants Meetings as well as having an active role in the testing of MYOB products. Debra’s extensive accounting experience exceeds 20 years and covers a wide range of industries.
Debra’s passion is small business. She specialises in MYOB setup, cleanups and troubleshooting and the messier the job the more she loves it.
